RYA Dinghy Instructor and Assistant Dinghy Instructor Courses

We will be running RYA 'Dinghy Instructor' (D.I.) and 'Assistant Dinghy Instructor' (A.I.) courses in the Spring of 2011. Dates for the D.I. course are as yet unconfirmed, but are likely to be Easter week, A.I. and PB2 courses will be held week commencing 21st February. Members who wish to be considered for the 'D.I.' course (maximum six) should either have an 'Assistant Dinghy Instructor' qualification already, be 16 years or older, and have an acceptable level of course instruction experience, or be experienced sailors who wish to be directly assessed for the course. 'Powerboat 2', and 'RYA First Aid' whilst advantageous, are not essential as they will be included as required. Members wishing to take the 'A.I.' qualification should be 14 years or older, and experienced youth sailors.

There will be no charge for the 'A.I.' course. The 'D.I.' course will carry a subsidised fee of about £150 (tbc). It is a condition of this training that successful candidates will be prepared undertake RYA training duties at Frensham Pond S.C.
