Be on your guard

Internet fraudsters seem to be particularly active during the current emergency. Some of us have recently received some very strange emails.  I  have therefore checked with our Internet Service Provider that our defences are in place and up to date and indeed they are.

However this does not prevent a fraudster opening a gmail or hotmail account in the name of one of our club officials and sending out malicious emails.

If in doubt about an email, phone the supposed sender. Don’t click on links in strange emails. Don’t go into any websites that your browser says are malicious. And be very sceptical of any email involving payments.
