It is with great sadness that I have to report that Mona Videlo passed away peacefully at the beginning of April. Back in the earlier days, she was an active member of Frensham and enjoyed watching her family sail, sometimes even crewing for Don, her husband, in his Enterprise and Lark.
She was a keen supporter of the club, helping Don in running the club as Commodore in the 1970s. Frensham was always a place she loved to come to catch up with friends and enjoy watching the sailing. Some may know that sadly, soon after Don’s death, she was diagnosed with dementia and a few years later, had to move into care. She was resilient and strong throughout her battle.
Due to current circumstances a funeral that extends beyond family or a memorial service is not possible. Hopefully when the world is back to normal, the Videlo family will be able to hold one to honour her life. Arrangements to follow in due course.
The family funeral takes place on 23 April at 3:45 at Aldershot Crematorium.
