Frensham Win at RS Teras Inlands!

Seven Frensham sailors competed in the RS Tera Inland National Championships at Burton SC 30th June - 1st July. The sailing was truly fantastic, if a little challenging - unbroken blue skies, enough wind to kick up white horses and wind shifts that had even the Frensham contingent scratching their heads at the end of Saturday !

There was incredibly tight racing in the Pro Fleet with the lowest placed race-winner finishing in 12th overall ! But it was a Frensham 1-2 with Luke Anstey winning from Tom Ahlheid, and Tom Stratton-Brown sailing a very consistent series to finish fifth – but he was a whisker from making it a Frensham 1-2-3 !

In the Sport Fleet Tristan Ahlheid was one point off a top three placing. Featherweight Oliver Stratton-Brown toughed out the conditions to finish in the top 20, but should be in the medals for grit and determination.

In the Regatta Fleet William Stratton-Brown and William Ahlheid didn’t hit the top placings this time around, but they had a ball and came ashore with big smiles and tales of daring do. Which is just as it should be…
