FPSC Christmas Gala Dinner & Dance

Dear Club Member,

Many years ago Frensham Pond Sailing Club held an annual black tie gala dinner & dance. With the club celebrating it's 60th anniversary next year your Flag Officers and the General Committee have decided to re-introduce this once annual tradition.

Please would you take a little time to study the proposal below and indicate to Julian Davies our Club Manager ( This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. ) via email your intention to attend and how many tickets you wish to purchase. There are a maximum of 130 tickets so please respond quickly!

While ticket applications must be from a member we are keen to open the event up to members’ families and friends too - so please invite them! If other members you know are attending and you wish to be seated with them please advise at the time of booking. Tables are round and will seat 8 people.

Rear Commodore

Brian Grimwood M.B.E.

The sailing club has received some brilliant news.

Brian Grimwood, a former club commodore has been awarded an MBE in the Queen’s birthday honours.

The honour is in recognition of all that Brian has done over ten years to build up Frensham Sailability.

Anyone who has seen the large fleet of Access dinghies and the excellent shoreside facilities cannot fail to be impressed. These are the visible signs, but there is a different story for all the disabled people, adults and children, who have had life changing experiences with sailing on our water. Members of our competitive Access team have travelled the length of the UK and brought back the national trophy four times as well as taking part in international competition in Europe and as far away as Australia. Anyone who has seen the happy faces of adults and children on a Sailability day will have no doubt of the joy that Frensham has brought to so many, sailors and helpers alike. And the credit must go to Brian.

60th Anniversary Celebration – 8th June 2013

Dear Cub Member

Next year the club reaches another milestone in its history as we celebrate Sixty years since it’s founding. The General Committee have started work on organising what we hope will be a wonderful day of entertainment for members and their families. More information will be available nearer the time, but for now, please make a note of the date in your diary.

Kind Regards

Jeff Dolton
Commodore

10 Hour Race – Sponsorship

Kate Richardson and John Townsley went back to school last week to present the Abbey School with a cheque for £1,000 which was the amount raised by members during the 10 Hour Race held in July.

The Abbey School in Farnham is, as many of you know, a school for 11-16 year olds with learning difficulties and communication disorders. They are thrilled to receive the donation and are very thankful for your generosity.
