Solo

The National Solo is one of the most popular single handed racing dinghies in the UK. There is a strong and active fleet of over 30 Solos based at FPSC giving great one-design class racing.

The Solo has a deep, traditional hull-form, a permanently stayed mast and a powerful, fully battened mainsail. The design is extremely comfortable with inward sloping decks for sitting out.

Originally designed in wood, competitive boats are now widely available in Fibre Reinforced Plastic (FRP) or composite construction (FRP hull and wood deck) as well as wood.

Different mast and sail cuts are available to suit helm weight.
